Robelle 2808B Calcium Hardness Increaser for Pools, 8-Pounds

This granular product is designed to increase the total hardness in pool water to the recommended range. It is a dry, granular product that can be easily added to the pool. The desired range for calcium hardness varies depending on the type of pool surface:

• Vinyl Pools: 200-300 ppm
• Tile and Exposed Aggregate Pools: 200-400 ppm
• Marcite, Fiberglass or Painted Pools: 250-400 ppm

To determine the current calcium hardness level, it is recommended to use a reliable test kit. If the calcium hardness tests lower than the desired range, this product can be added according to the included chart.

The product should be placed into a plastic bucket already filled with swimming pool water, in a ratio of up to 2 pounds of product per approximately 5-gallon bucket of water. This solution should then be slowly poured around the perimeter of the swimming pool while the circulating system is operating. In a 10,000-gallon pool, no more than 10 pounds of this product should be added per 2-hour period.

This calcium chloride product rapidly increases the total hardness in the pool water, helping to prevent corrosion or etching of the pool surfaces. The ideal calcium hardness range is between 200 and 400 ppm, and 8 ounces of this product can raise the calcium hardness level by 10 ppm per 5,000 gallons of water.

Low calcium hardness levels can lead to various water issues, and this product is designed to prevent the staining or etching of the pool's surface. By maintaining the appropriate calcium hardness range, pool owners can ensure the longevity and integrity of their pool's surfaces.
